b) create a GRE domain

Once the network is set up, then create a VM and point it to the openvswitchGRE network. The IP addresses in this test is going to be on a new completely different network.

We are going to create 2 domains, one on the “sandbox” host and the other on the “cloudctl” host. The domain on the “sandbox” host is “gretest”, and the domain on the “cloudctl” host is gretest2. We will assign the IP address of 10.5.5.4 to gretest domain, and 10.5.5.5 to gretest2 domain. When we ping here is what we get:

gretest domain on “sandbox” host: (we make sure the domain XML file has “source network = openvswitchGRE” in the interface section of the XML file for the domain.)

gretest

gretest2 domain on “cloudctl” host:

gretest2
