b) Defining a Virtual Network

So now we have 2 NICs, and a new openvswitch bridge br0 which replaced the old Linux bridge.

Here is the output from the ovsvsctl show command:

ovsvsctlshow

Then we went into libvirt and used virsh net-list to show networks. We deleted the default and added openvswitch-VLAN using the following:

define virtual network

Now that we have the bridge (switch) set up with openvswitch, and the network defined via libvirt, we can now set up the VM’s domain xml file, “interfaces” section as such:
